Southeast of Berat, the Osum river has cut a canyon about 13 km long through the limestone near Çorovodë, with sheer walls, waterfalls and caves.
In spring, when the river is high, rafting trips run through the gorge. In summer the water drops and you can walk and swim in parts of it, or look down from viewpoints along the rim road.
